Turning two – there’s so much to do!

Terrific 2s are sooo much fun.  They love imitating what adults are doing.  A little patience and understanding of mess can give you lots of great memories of cooking and creating with your grandchild – and they will love your undivided attention. Naps are on the way out and playing is in. Veges are yucky. Toilet training might be underway. Curiosity makes it time to add a toddler app or ten to your smart phone.
Skills at running, jumping, exploring, climbing are all being refined every day. They are more likely to help with the housework at this stage. Wiping tables, clearing dishes and tidying – it won’t last so take the time to enjoy it. Their short attention span is the good news and bad news.  Easy to distract but hard to keep focused.  It will be hard to get their attention away from electronics once they have longer attentions spans. They might be short on attention but will notice if you miss reading their favourite book at bedtime!  Average clothing size – 2
